Digital printing isn’t just a way to Print; it’s a revolution in communications effectiveness. For the first time printed materials can be segmented by market, customer profile demographics or any other parameters. Specifications can be up to date. Instructions can be current. Feature points can be based on today’s market feedback. The result is that you market with greater response rates than ever before. Sales increase. Order values go up. We could give you a hundred reasons to use digital printing, but here are a few of the important ones:
1) Save Time
The speed of an all-digital process is your key to saving time and reducing production steps. Where conventional offset printing requires costly and time-consuming film preparation, proofing, plate making and make-ready, all-digital printing eliminates these stages of production. You go directly from computer to printed publication, avoiding the waste and obsolescence of conventional offset printing. And, with digital printing, you print exactly the quantity you intend to use, whether it’s one copy or thousands. Because files can easily be transmitted, you can print when and where you want, without the costs and delays of packing and ship- ping final printed materials. In a world where time is money; all-digital printing saves you both.
Digital printing enables you to update documents quickly and inexpensively each time you print. Today, change is an everyday occurrence, and digital printing allows you to keep pace with the market. You can update specifications, applications and other data as needed. Change photos to match new product colours and features. Respond to changes in the marketplace, or anticipate trends and stay ahead of the market by publishing as often as needed. Digital printing is the clear winner when it comes to meeting customer needs.
3) Customise Documents
Digital printing allows your marketing communications to go from standardised and impersonal to targeted and personal. Vary your message from group to group, even person to person, within a single press run. Use mass customisation to approach your audience in a truly unique and individual way. Vary your message from market segment to market segment, changing and prioritising copy and visuals for maximum return on investment. Digital printing opens up a new era of customisation, taking full advantage of the information we learn from our customers. The whole concept of being customer-driven becomes a reality, as you market your products more effectively than ever before.
4) Print on Demand
In most companies, publications need long lead times prior to product introductions. Then, by the time they’re printed, you already wish you could make changes. But you’re locked-in due to huge press runs designed to obtain cost-per-piece economies rather than true marketplace results. Digital printing changes all that. With digital printing you print what you need, when you need it. For the first time, your publication life cycle can match your product life cycle. You can easily change messages as you learn more about market-place reactions to your product. In fact, digital printing doesn’t have to be an either/or proposition. Use digital printing to obtain the kind of message flexibility you need during product introductions and use offset during the time of mainstream sales. Combine the two for the best of both worlds.
5) Distribute and Print
Marketing is a matter of timing, and nothing speeds your time to market like digital printing. Instead of shipping pallets of paper, with the associated costs of tariffs, duties, insurance, carrier availabilities and delays, your documents can be printed virtually anywhere through a worldwide network of digital printers. Imagine- no warehousing or inventories, no more lost, late or damaged shipments, no more logistical problems to slow down worldwide introductions or campaigns. Digital file distribution through Agfa’s PrintCast network speeds file transfer for real-time global printing. It’s the ideal print solution for worldwide companies and organizations.
6) Achieve High Quality
Just as digital means state-of-the-art in audio, video and an array of other applications, digital means quality when it comes to printing. Today’s digital printing offers quality comparable to offset printing in virtually every application. Precision colour matching, exceptional sharpness and clarity, and outstanding consistency are flawlessly maintained with digital printing comparable to any other printing process. A direct computer-to-paper process t means maximum reproduction integrity without information loss. And, with digital printing, you can easily and economically produce high-quality colour instead of black-and-white, making your publications more eye-catching and effective.
7) Increase Flexibility
Digital printing offers tremendous flexibility, so you can select the papers and formats that suit your applications and appeal most to your audience. Choose from a wide range of substrates including coated, uncoated, cover, transparency, polyester and adhesive materials. Also, because Chromapress is web- rather than sheet-fed, the length of your pro/notional banners and fold-outs can be virtually unlimited.
8) Increase Effectiveness
Digital printing is your key to increased sales and profits. Instead of mass-produced documents designed to appeal to everyone (and no one), digital printing allows the move from mass marketing to mass customisation. Target audiences with customised documents. Communicate in more timely and targeted ways. Segment audiences as appropriate. Use individual copy points, images and illustrations to take advantage of database information. Offer personalised attention on a mass-market basis. You’ll not only keep pace with the market, you’ll keep pace with each and every sales prospect and proven customer.
9) Realise Added Value
When you compare the overall effectiveness of digital printing, there is no comparison. That’s because digital printing offers added value from the beginning of the marketing cycle to the end. You respond faster to market opportunities. You can test various concepts. Speak directly to your target audience. Customize your messages to the needs and desires of your key prospects. Print exactly the quantity of publications you need and eliminate film, plates and conventional prepress costs. Reduce or eliminate warehousing and shipping by printing when you want and where you want. In terms of quality, convenience and overall value-added, digital printing is a whole new way to communicate.

Generally, a colour job is split into two distinct cost centres, which are often handled by 2 different companies. Allow us to quote and we will indicate the expected costs of both aspects.
Costs vary enormously depending on the amount of time and skill required to produce the final layout. If you use a design house, they will often pass the print to a third party. We are happy to produce the design and liaise with another printer of your choice.
We will give you a firm price for the finished job. There will be no nasty shocks when you receive your invoice. Again, we are happy to receive files produced by your designers.

Data can be received daily, weekly or monthly to produce and mail your business documents. Production processing is normally done within agreed fixed time scales against a formal Service Level Agreement which can be reviewed on a regular basis.
Computerforms offer a comprehensive single source for mailing production. This includes data manipulation, printing, laser personalisation, finishing and mailing. Our services are particularly geared towards time critical transactional or administrative applications often requiring a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Transactional mailings require a high level of reconciliation; all sheets are matched using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Bar Code Recognition (BCR) or Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) depending on the individual pack requirements. Additional inserts if required can be selectively added as required.
We are also able to offer a fully APACS approved, MICR numbered cheque payment document as part of a mailing pack. This process allows personalisation of the variable text and data and the E13B magnetic cheque code line at the same time. This ensures the highest level of data matching integrity. Documents can be attached to the prime letter or split as part of the finishing process, allowing for additional selective inserts if required.
Additionally we can provide a selection of security printed vouchers which can also be incorporated into a mailing pack in single or multi volumes of the same or differing financial values. Bespoke printed vouchers attached to personalised letters can also be supplied with the added ability to personalise and barcode variable financial values.
Computerforms is totally committed to serving the demands of the Transactional Printing Markets – whatever the size of the project, wherever it is based and however complex.
